Wendy Bailey, CCHW, CCP became a certified community health worker in April of 2021. She is a 2001 graduate of Linton Stockton High school. She studied medical assisting at Ivy Tech Community college specializing in medical coding where she started her health care career as a Coder. She became a health insurance navigator in June of 2017 aiding with health insurance applications with the state of Indiana for Hoosier Healthwise and the Healthy Indiana Plan (H.I.P.) as well as applications with the Marketplace. In January of 2018 Wendy became a certified SHIP (State Health Insurance Program) counselor aiding Medicare Beneficiaries with their coverage options and better understanding their coverage or additional resources available to them. She is a Certified Gatekeeper with the QPR Institute for Suicide Prevention. A cause very close to Wendy’s heart which led to her becoming a certified community health worker along with her becoming a certified chronic care paraprofessional. She is a member of the Indiana Community Health Workers Association. She loves her career and feels blessed to be working back in her home community servicing the patients. She looks forward to us building a program that will be impactful to our community. In her free time she enjoys spending with her children, family, and friends.
